About me... I joined software/services company Civica 14 years ago in 1999 having worked as a design consultant for them for two years prior. Civica are a leading IT-based services company (based in the UK). With a large customer base, Civica is a key provider of software and services to local and regional government, education, social housing, health care and enforcement markets, as well as regulated services including pensions and legal administration.
Before joining Civica, I ran my own web development consultancy and held lead design roles with Firefox, Mitsubishi & Apricot Computers.
I work primarily developing on Microsoft's Sharepoint platforms creating / designing / implementing learning environments for schools built on MOSS. I'll use this blog to discuss some aspects of that. Also I'm developing some applications for mobile platforms/iOS and Android.
Because I love my job (and have no time) I don't undertake any freelance or paid work - however I'm always happy to help out with any advice or development design questions... just raise points via my numerous design blogs.
In addition... until a few years ago (when I sustained a hand injury) I played keyboards and ran a record label (Woodland Records) and self produced an LP which was released across Europe, America and Japan. You can download it from this site if you wish to hear it. Also I've worked and collaborated with many other musicians on various projects which you can download on this site.
